Most students attending "colleges" from for profit schools incur huge debts to get a degree from a diploma mill. The vast majority of defaults on student loans come from these schools (DeVry, Corinthian Colleges, etc.) charging high tuition to gain entry into low paying jobs in their chosen fields like health care or justice. These defaults result from overselling the program results to students who expect to earn a living wage and usually don't. Limiting loans to these students will free up more resources to get a legitimate education and drive down student loan defaults.
