We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Captain Humayon Khan's sacrifice qualifies him for the Medal of Honor.

Created by J.B. on August 04, 2016

As a member of a family of well decorated military veterans, it is my experience that a member of our military who has rescued or saved other military members by the risk or sacrifice of their life, is entitled to the highest Military award we, as a nation, can give this hero: The Medal of Honor.
I pray that the political rhetoric coming from our current election campaign is not deflecting us from our responsibility to honor – posthumously – the sacrifice of Captain Humayon Khan. As I recall, he has met all the legitimate demands of this award.
I welcome everyone --whatever political party or faith they call their own, to join me in this recognition of Captain Khans ultimate sacrifice for others.
