Carrying of Assigned Side Arms by Military Personnel while on Military Installations

Created by K.B. on April 04, 2014

Military personnel are required to carry their assigned weapon while serving in a combat zone overseas. Why does this matter in serving stateside or on any other military installation?
Military personnel should be required to carry their assigned government issued weapon while on a military post. There should be a random issue of say 20% that are given ammunition daily by their unit; remaining personnel are given empty magazines. Accountability of weapons and ammo are held as done as in overseas contingencies.

Weapons are not allowed in alcohol establishments and need to be turned in at end of duty shift if residing off post. Only exception for weapons in the clubs / bowling alleys are for duty related activities.

Allow service members to carry weapons as they are trained to do.
