Categorize Firearms in three groups, unrestricted, restricted and prohibited and define ownership on those groups.

Created by A.H. on December 18, 2012

We would petition the government to creat clear and concise rules involved with firearms. Unrestricted firearms category would be the standard requirements as they are in each state. Restricted firearms would consist of stricter registration and fees that must be paid yearly to own the weapon. These fees would help to pay for and update a national registry of these weapons for law enforcement to use. Prohibited firearms would be as the name suggests not legal to own. Prohibited weapons that are already owned as of the date of this legislation could be grandfathered into the restricted category and exceptions can be made for inherited firearms. If an owner wants to maintain the ownership of the restricted or prohibited firearm then annual update to registration should be done.
