American Buffalo are probably the only North American game animal that is not allowed to roam free or be managed as a game animal mostly due to ranching interests and their leases on public land. An area should be set aside in the Northern Plains where this animal can once more roam free and be managed as wild game. Wild Horses could also be added to the reserve.
