While I do understand that there cannot be 100% privacy and 100% security, I do not believe that monitoring Internet searches and obtaining phone records are the way to go, a view supported by Jim Sensenbrenner, the man who wrote the Patriot Act (the legal basis of this surveillance). I will be the first to admit that I do not know the correct solution, but I believe that I speak for many people when I say that this is definitely not the right solution.
