cease affirmative action and reduce discrimination by removing gender and race from college applications.

Created by S.W. on July 16, 2013

In an effort to increase the acceptance of minorities into college, affirmative action has increased the possibility of a more qualified non-minority from getting into college. This practice does nothing to reduce discrimination but it does shift the discrimination in favor of minorities which is still not fair. The best way to remove this possibility is to remove gender, race, and ethnicity from college applications and they can be added only for students that have enrolled. Names should also be removed and a number created in a federal database when students apply for financial aid through FAFSA to remove the possibility or perception of discrimination based on an applicant's name.
