This petition declares that the Obama Administration cease any and all efforts to submit the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, to the United Nations Security Council before allowing Congress a chance to scrutinize the deal.
The full 60-day review period and parliamentary procedures prescribed by the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act should be allowed to play out before action at the Security Council.
If the Security Council approves said deal before Congress has the opportunity to vote upon it, we run the risk of being in non-compliance with an agreement the President is legally bound to support, should Congress vote against the deal.
This outrageous plan would circumvent proper procedure as outlined by the Constitution of the United States.
