The U.S. Govt provides 100's of millions of dollars in aid to the countries in Africa. While most accept that Africa needs assistance from industrialized nations to move forward, we as civilized societies CAN NOT provide funds to governments who are actively oppressing large groups of their society. While homosexuality is an issue for around 3 percent of a population, can you imagine how many people are perceived to be gay? in many African countries people who are, or perceived to be gay are being criminally prosecuted or worse yet sentence based on popular opinion only. There is a lot of evidence, including videos, or woman, children, and police officers, standing and watching as men, who are accused of being different, are beaten until their skulls cave in because they may be gay.
