To cease all forgin aid to the Sudan, until they release Mrs. Mariam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag and her child.

Mrs. Mariam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag is the wife of an American Citizen who was sentenced to whipping for adultery, because her husband is a Christian and they consider her a Muslim. She was also found guilty of apostasy and sentenced to death for refusing to renounce her Christian faith. She gave birth to an American Citizen and they are both imprisoned. The father is not allowed to care for his son because the child is considered Muslim. The Freedom to practice whatever religion you choose is a bedrock not only of the ideals of America but also the UN. We cannot continue to fund countries which do not agree with the basic human rights to which the the majority of the world agrees. The time has come for us to restrict aid to those who abide by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
