Cease and Desist use of The New York Stock Exchange under the grounds of illegal gambling in New York State.

Created by C.P. on December 11, 2015

Friday, December 11th, 2015 New York State Supreme Court Justice Manuel J. Mendez ruled that websites such as DraftKings and Fanduel meet the definitions of Gambling according to NYS Laws, declaring these sites as illegal gambling outlets.

Below is an excerpt from Part 3, Title M, Article 225 of the NYS penal code defining gambling.

"Gambling." A person engages in gambling when he stakes or risks
something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance or a future
contingent event not under his control or influence, upon an agreement
or understanding that he will receive something of value in the event of
a certain outcome.

This definition is applicable to not only the NYSE but the NYS lottery as well, and should by the same rights be declared illegal in the State of New York.
