U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan and other foreign lands are resulting in the deaths of innocent victims. While the drone strikes are intended to take out terrorists, the loss of even one innocent victim is too much.
C.I.A. director John Brennan confirmed civilians have been killed when he stated that only in "exceedingly rare" cases civilians had been accidentally injured or killed in a drone strike. One accidental death is too many and foreign agencies are reporting it is thousands of deaths.
The U.N. had confirmed that innocent deaths are occurring and a study by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism said between 411 to 884 civilians have been killed in Pakistan alone since 2004.
We would never stand for any government using such tactics within our borders. We must stop.
