We spend far too much time meddling in affairs that do not concern us. Capitalism and democracy are not religions, they are economic and government systems.
If we wish to go to war for oil, raw materials, or other goods please let the people know, as desire for resources is a valid reason to go to war with a country.
In general, however, I propose an isolationist system. We do not involve ourselves in foreign affairs, and we simply focus on rebuilding our economy, rather than spending money on wars in countries that half of our citizens may not be able to locate on a map.
