Cease handheld electronic usage while operating motor vehicle.

Created by H.G. on January 30, 2014

The usage of handheld electronics creates a dangerous situation while driving on our roadways. The act of holding electronic devices in hand(s) decreases the driver's full attention to be placed on driving. Numerous distractions have been witnessed such as the vehicle's speed limit(too fast or too slow causes flow of traffic to be affected), tailgating, and car being jerked due to eyes being fixed on electronic devices. Although not all of the examples are definitely associated with these behaviors, this specific distraction affects everyone the road. Having more crash and/or death statistics be provided to citizens may prevent their perceived necessity to use these devices while operating a vehicle. Fellow drivers are left to deal with their actions. We need our roads to be safe!
