WHEREAS the US government has been revealed to be conducting a widespread program of extrajudicial assassinations of both foreigners and US citizens on foreign soil via drone strikes,
WHEREAS the aforementioned assassination programs are in violation of domestic and international law, basic human decency, and, according to leaked secret government documents published by The Intercept (https://theintercept.com/drone-papers/the-assassination-complex), based on unreliable signals intelligence leading to the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians,
IT IS DEMANDED by the signatories of this petition that the government immediately cease operation of all such assassination programs, known internally by the euphemism "targeted killings."
