Cease Minting Pennies

The penny is, in short, both useless and worthless. It costs two cents to mint one penny, a waste of time and taxpayer money. Many other countries including some in the European union have successfully removed their equivalent of the penny from their currency. With that, prices and charitable donations have not diminished, as many have feared. Even our troops overseas have stopped recognizing the penny as a facet of American currency. Instead, we should use this time and money to focus on improving American education and technology research.
