Cease payments to all elected officials until they can pass an appropriations bill.

Created by J.K. on February 01, 2013

With the threat of sequestration, furloughs, and other consequences facing employees in the federal government, I propose to cease pay to all federally elected officials until they vote to approve a budget. The continuing resolution has not permitted tax paying citizens to sleep easy at night knowing that there will be drastic measures taken by the government that will effect the lives of its employees if there is no budget bill passed. The continuing resolution is below average stop gap measure to avoid immediate repercussions if a budget isn't passed. In summation, I propose that all elected officials are barred from receiving their salaries until they do their jobs, by passing a budget.
