To cease in raising energy rates on all coal companies at the rate to push for alternative energy and loose mining jobs.

The following petition is to address the concern of Barack Obama's Administrations program to raise energy rates on coal companies to the point of both bankrupting the coal companies, force people to loose their jobs, and risk the lost of an industry both on the energy, trade, and labor fronts for the cost of introduction of alternative energy. This industry in coal mining has been one as a way of life for many families including in the Appalachians. Just as the city of Detroit, MI has had a heritage in automotive manufacturing, Pittsburgh, PA with the steel industry. Most of Appalachia and other regions have had a rich heritage in coal. And to pressure the loss of coal as an industry will only hamper the increase in the loss of jobs for these middle class families.
