CELEBRATE NATIVE-AMERICAN APPRECIATION DAY ON THANKSGIVING

Created by M.A. on February 19, 2013

To The President of the United States:

Whereas the third Thursday of November is set aside as Thanksgiving Day to celebrate a feast held by 53 Pilgrims and 90 members of the Wampanoag tribe of Massachusetts in 1621, giving thanks to God for the Pilgrims’ survival of their first winter in North America,
Therefore, we the undersigned, hereby petition you to declare the same day as Native American Appreciation Day and to urge every American family to invite a Native American family to share their Thanksgiving dinner.

Signed this day, February 18, 2013, Presidents’ Day.
