The adoption of SI unites in public life; industry and government will increase our ability for more export of goods and prepare people for work in the changing job market.The metrication process can be done more rapidly by following the example done by the Australian government in the 1970’s. The change can be done by update to the Transportation Equity Act of 1998 removing restrictions on Federal and State entities allowing Federal government funding. Also to coordinate with States and Industry removing restrictions in selling agriculture goods in US Customary unites and allowing round SI units or containers.
