Censure Sen. John McCain for making a mockery of our democratic process and playing video poker during a crucial hearing

Created by E.S. on September 06, 2013

One of the most sacred duties anyone can undertake is representing and serving the citizens of the United States.
This requires due diligence. It requires critical thinking. It requires respect for your constituents. It requires weighing decisions and making wise choices.
Senator McCain's blatant disregard for his job as a Senator and his obvious boredom with important issues means he is not capable of listening, thinking, and making important decisions. While Senator McCain's long service is commendable, this does not excuse playing video poker during a senate hearing of national importance. His attempt at humor after being caught - just shows his arrogant belief that the American people will forgive anything and not hold him accountable.
In the private sector he would have been fired.
