The central government should start preparing people for an economic collapse, possibly a collapse of services in the US

Created by K.S. on January 13, 2013

Modern society is ever more fragile and susceptible to failure modes. We have seen banks and infrastructures fail world wide. Many people now argue that as a society we are Plausibly, Potentially, Possibly and Arguably very close to some form of collapse of centralized services, including welfare, medical care, road infrastructures, food distribution and a range of other essential services. I know that a default of these essentials is not a popular topic to discuss, and I realize that such explorations might itself precipitate market instability, but denying bad news is not something any competent politician should do.

I call on the central and state US government, in particular the White House, to proactively organize the country as to weather a possible economic collapse.
