Challenge all Federal/State elected officials to cut their own pay and benefits to normal Federal/State employee rates.

To cut Federal and State spending by cutting Federal and State elected officials' pay and benefits received to levels of anyone else in Public Service. The choice to serve the public is not a choice to get rich, but a choice to serve the public and to be a voice for all of us. We also would like for elected officials to spend more time serving the public and less time serving themselves as to what we can provide for them. Being an elected official should come with certain reasonable benefits, but not at the cost of our economy's well-being. As taxpayers, we do not mind paying taxes, even higher taxes if needed, if we are assured that you have taken steps to cut government waste and that our national deficit is receding. President Obama, if anyone has the power to do this, you do sir!
