Challenge American teenagers to make a difference in the life of children by volunteering at schools and being a mentor.

Children possess the greatest known innocence. Protecting that innocence should be a top priority. Children look up to high school students as "big kids". If the "big kids" could give just one hour a week in a local elementary or middle school, how much of a difference could that make in the life of a child? Could that child go from a gloomy, lonely life to one filled with enthusiasm, optimism, and encouragement because there is someone to talk to, read a book with, or play catch with on the playground? Of course. And as much as high schools, or "big kids" can influence and help shape the life of a child, the child can shape and help influence the life of the "big kids".
