There is growing discontent amongst Americans regarding their government. Many feel that the Congress is paid far more than they deserve. The designated congressional salary level in 2011 automatically places each member of Congress in the top 6% of income earners in the United States, without regard for other private income that they may earn.
We would like to see salaries for the Congress greatly reduced to a level far more commensurate with the average American household.
