Challenge Elected Officials to Put up or Shut up.

Challenge all Republican congressmen in the house and senate to create a verifiable household budget for four based on the minimum wage income of two adults in their district. The budget must be verifiable in that if they suggest that the family of four could live on $20.00 a week of groceries, they must be able to produce a grocery list that will include ingredients for 7 breakfasts, lunches, and dinner for four people. They must be able to present at least one rental property where rent and utilities are at or below their budget, etc. If Republicans rise to this challenge, pledge that Democrats will abandon the quest to raise minimum wages. Challenge Republican to pledge that if they fail, they will vote to raise the minimum wage to a level at which they could create such a budget.
