Olympic athletes are amateurs just like student-athletes. however, they are entitled to endorsement deals and the ability to make money off of their own image without direct pay for their talents. Collegiate athletics should adopt the Olympic model to properly compensate student-athletes for their contributions to the billion dollar industry called College Sports.
