With over 6 billion spent in this last election cycle it is clear that there is no limit to the amount of money that will continue to be poured into elections in this country as long as the Citizens United decision by the supreme court is in effect. Our elections should be decided by the people, not purchased by the highest bidder. We need to save our democracy, and the people seem to be fully behind an amendment. Here in Colorado a ballot initiative to favor an amendment passed with an amazing 74% of the vote. If the president champions this cause I don't see how it can fail, and we can truly "take back our country" from the billionaires, corporations, and shady super PAC's that want to buy our elections.
