Every year many deaths are caused by guns in the hands of children, inexperienced users, hunting accidents and other tragedies that could be reduced through some common sense regulations.
Require all new guns be available only in a selection of safety colors (bright green, safety orange and hot pink).
Require all gun sellers provide information to buyers which must be acknowledged by the buyer on the number of accidental deaths, suicides and injuries attributed to gun ownership.
Require all ammunition sold to consumers be packaged in child-proof packaging.
Change the law so that "accidental" injuries resulting from guns be considered a felony unless the gun owner has passed a bi-yearly certification on their ability to safely clean, store and handle a gun.
