Change the 13th amendment!
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
This petition is to abolish slavery in the United States even if the person has been convicted of committing a crime. This will force every single job currently being held by the incarcerated to be given to free American citizens and pay them a living wage for doing those jobs. This will end the violence because the police will be ordered to serve and protect rather than enslave and control. The American people must be set free! #LetMyPeopleGo
