The new license plate design for the next 6 years in Nebraska was announced a couple days ago. It is white with a navy blue stripe on the top with "Nebraska" written in gold. In light gray, a picture of the sower is displayed in the middle. The sower is important to Nebraskan history because it represents our agricultural past, but it will mean little to the people of other states.
As the license plate will be on most cars in Nebraska, many of which will travel out of the state, it is very important to show everybody that Nebraska is more than fly-over country. We are a strong community of tight knit people and our license plate should represent that. Nebraska will be 150 years old. We need a license plate that really shows it.
