The United States government should reduce the law of only allowing 25 year old cars not originally manufactured in the US to be imported in this country. We do not need it abolished for clear reasons, but it should be reduced to 15 years to follow suit with our northern neighbor, Canada. It will benefit the US government since a great amount of these cars are seized at the US borders every month and will save the government many of their resources, the government will not have to expend resources on trying to hunt down as many grey market vehicles in the United States, also there will be a great deal of tax revenue from the importation. Canada has been doing this since 1971 with no major issues. Canada has on average 15,000 cars imported yearly which will generate much tax revenue.
