change the academic calendar to a year round schedule.

Created by R.H. on October 05, 2014

Year round schooling, often split up into 45 days on and 15 days off, contains the same 180 school day count, but does not have the overly-large summer break in between grade levels. This leads to a decrease in loss of information over the summer and allows students to be refreshed and ready for learning after each quarter. As well, this type of schooling allows for a multi-track system which increases the amount of students able to be enrolled in a school (since they are not all following the exact same routine of 45 days on, 15 days off). This multi-track system allows for smaller class sizes and an increased student capacity for schools.
