Change, adjust or remove the 25 year law of importation of vehicles from other countries.

Created by A.A. on May 09, 2014

Currently, vehicles not originally sold in the United States are only allowed to be bought/sold/driven here in the US based on them being at a minimum of 25 years old. This includes European & Japanese cars from around the world. I would like to see a change in the law allowing much newer cars to be imported and registered legally. You can import cars now for show/race use only, but it's very tedious and expensive. There is an untapped market for small businesses and wholesalers to sell these niche vehicles, or even for regular consumers to purchase them for their own personal vehicles. Canada's law is 15 years old, I'd like to see the US match that, or beat it by 5 years.
