Change the age when children decide what parent they want to live with from age 12 to age 10

I think kids need to decide at a younger age due to the fact that they may be getting hurt by the other parent and or there spouse and the justice systems do nothing to help. They shouldn't be forced to go to the visitation parent if they don't want to. If they just don't want to or are scared to they need to have the right to chose and also be protected.
