Change all compensation for Congressmen and reduce it to 60k a year and no lifetime income for them of any kind.

The purpose to become a politician is to serve our country and it should be treated as an honor and with respect. Not as a career and for income purposes. Their income should base in mid standards i.e. 60k/year and no pension privileges for life of any kind for serving in Congress. Savings on those two factors will help us believe in Congress and our country. For the congressmen who decide to leave, we will understand that their main purpose was not to serve the country.
We need real people in Congress, we need to get back to be what we always were: The United States of America.
