Revise the Alternative Minimum Tax to provide that corporations, and individuals with a gross income of $500,000 or more pay a minimum tax to the federal government. The new Alternative Mimumum Tax would be computed as follows: Total expendtiures of the US Budget divided by the sum total of the US population plus the total of all US businesses. The current formula would be $3,796,000,000,000 (total expeditures in budget) divided by 319,582,003 (US population of 313,847,465 + US businesses of 5,734,538). The minimum tax based on this formula would be $11,878.02 for every US business, $11,878.02 for each indivudal or $23,756.04 for each couple whose gross income is greater than $500,000.
