In order to rid congress of people seeking money, change the salary paid to a salary equivalent to the national average for regular employed Americans, minus the wages of government and union jobs. So, in order to make more money, congress will have to improve the economy for everyone.
make the financial records of congressmen public knowledge during their term in service. As well as restrict their investment ability, until such a time as they are no longer serving this country.
If out congressmen are, in fact, there to make this the best country they can, then they should not have a problem living on the average wage of the country they govern.
Hopefully this will lead to an exodus of congressmen who are their to make a buck, and do not care about this country of its citizens
