Schooling benefits have recently been taken away from Soldiers until after they are a year out of IET. (Initial Entry Training) This being said. I understand you don't want someone to join, go to school and then just drop out of the military standards, after having paid for said schooling. I really planned on going to college right after AIT. As a National Guard soldier I believe that my rights to an education are just as prominent as those on active duty, to make myself either better for the military or prepare myself for the career ahead of myself after the military.
