It has become obvious that neither party is serious about getting spending under control. We need to implement reforms to the budget process that encourage spending reductions, instead of assuming growth every year.
By linking spending growth to GDP growth, we insure that federal spending can grow with the economy, but at the same time get spending under control, reduce the deficit, and eventually pay off the debt.
