Many people feel that the power that has arbitrarily been given to Iowa and New Hampshire to host the nation's primary Presidential elections needs to be changed. Many people believe that it is wrong that a state whose population is 94 percent white and economy is primarily a corn-based agricultural one, does not square with the rest of the nation. I propose that the rules be changed so that each state, at some point during the primary process, has a chance to go first. These two small states should not have this much influential power to tip the scales towards their own self-interests. Every state, at some point in the election process, should have a chance to go first and host the primaries. With a simple rule change, both parties would open up the field for their best people.
