Our government is trying to fix the immigration problem the wrong way. Mexicans are going to continue to cross the border and plop babies out to play on our (Obama's at least) compassion to let them stay so they can raise their children. They know this and use it to get to stay here.
By changing the naturalization laws to not automatically grant citizenship to anyone born within our borders, but instead to only grant citizenship to those born within our borders IF at least one biological parent is already a legal citizen, we would discourage a large number of mexicans from trying to get here.
Our government is trying to put tape on a garden hose leak instead of just turning off the water valve.
