Change Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples' Day

Created by J.R. on October 11, 2016

For too long we have held a national holiday for someone whom if he were alive today would be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The atrocities he and his men commited against the native people of present day Haiti, The Bahamas, and Cuba include: feeding natives to the dogs after viciously hunting them down for sport, murdering any and all they felt like- to include men women, pregnant women, babies at their mothers breast, the elderly and children. Their crimes didnt stop with murder, as they forcibly enslaved the rest and sold their women and children into the sex slave trade.

Columbus deserves his spot in the history books as a devil among men, not as a folk hero who "discovered" a land he never actually landed on and already filled with indigenous people.
