Columbus Day has been a holiday for 78 years this Monday. Many individuals are unaware of the atrocities committed by Columbus, because from a young age they're only taught the clean version of the story. He sailed, he discovered.
However, he did not even discover America, as proof has demonstrated a band of Vikings years before set foot in North America, as well as China, Africa and Ice Age Europe.
He pillaged, raped, sold, and caused the annihilation of over 80-90% Native Americans. Natives became victims of genocide because of him. Columbus is no better than Hitler, and no one celebrates Hitler Day. Columbus was a great sailor, and Hitler was a great speaker. However, they're both inhumane, racist and heinous.
