i would like to suggest that since government is and works like a service industry and we the people are your customer that the pay of elected officials should be changed.
first make them have a hourly pay of a waiter or waitress for congress and the house and let there districts vote every month, 6 months or a year to see how popular they are and let that determine how much they get as a tip from there customers
next the president's pay should be minimum wage and his popularity determine his tip as well
i believe that this would get rid of most of the crooked politicians and pave a way for more honest people to fill there positions.This country and its politicians have forgotten what they stand for and that is about making our country better not lining there pocket books.
