Change Construction Lien Laws to Protect Homeowners

Created by N.P. on December 09, 2013

Ask Congress to change current Construction Lien Laws and/or Mechanics Lien.

Currently in most states if a homeowner has renovations and/or home repairs, example: Roof replacement.

Even if the homeowner pays the contractor in full and has a receipt that says paid in full, and the contractor does not pay, suppliers, laborers and sub-contractors, they can come after the homeowner and place a lien on the homeowner's property for payment; which means that homeowner may end up paying twice.

Also start prosecuting these predators for misuse of funds!
