When President Jimmy Carter created Grandparents' Day in the late 1970s, he made it the Sunday after Labor Day. 14.5% of the time, the Sunday after Labor Day is 9/11, as it was in 2005 and 2011 and will be in 2016.
Please change Grandparents' Day to the second Sunday after Labor Day so that our grandparents' special day never again coincides with that horrible day.
