change the definition of Accredited Investor.

Created by S.D. on March 19, 2015

I'd like to propose a change to the "Accredited Investor" criteria, so that it actually reflects accreditation - not wealth, inherited or otherwise.

I propose that we include an option to "test in" to accreditation, so that ANYONE can share in start-up investments etc. - not just the wealthy.

I believe that it's not fair to disqualify citizens like myself simply because I do not earn a large salary or have a great new worth. How should either of those qualify my understanding of the risks associated with the investment?

I feel as though education and experience, as shown through a test for accreditation, should be the standard - not wealth.

All it seems one is "accredited" with currently is being wealthy.
