Change the definition of "Full Time Employment" to 38 hours to prevent workers being kept below the poverty level.

Created by L.L. on July 06, 2013

Corporations across the country are cutting hours for their workers in response to the upcoming new insurance regulations. It is impossible to live on a wage near the minimum wage level when it has become a normal practice to keep workers below 29 hours a week to avoid the present "30 hour or more" full time designation. I am aware of the good intentions of the Administration's new
health care options but it has inadvertently caused a great deal of hardship for lower income persons. Corporations have found a loophole and have decided to cut all of their full time employees down to part time (under 29 hours). Please address this issue as it has drastically hurt a great many people across the nation.
