Change the Department of Defense to the Department of War and the Secretary of Defense to the Secretary of War

Created by M.F. on September 16, 2014

The Department of War is the original title for the Department of Defense. It was the name for over 240 years. Let's go back to it.

The title Department of Defense was selected in 1949 -after the conclusion of World War II, when our country was in the world spotlight, with a booming economy, for being back-to-back world war champs.

The change of titles would signify a change in the stance of our nation's people regarding our tolerance of foreign aggressors -whether they are uniformed or not, State-backed or not.

This change would show that we have oriented our country into an aggressive posture, where we are prepared to release our warfighters.
